• Geo-fencing and geolocation-based task triggers
• Operational safety and analytics

Background tracking is only active when authorized by the fleet owner and the individual user (driver or staff). Users are informed of this feature during onboarding and in-app permissions.

4. Who Controls Tracking?

IntelliFleet is a B2B platform. The fleet owner or employer (Data Controller) determines:

• Which vehicles and users are tracked
• When tracking is active
• Who can view location data

IntelliFleet acts only as a Data Processor and does not independently decide tracking scope or purpose.

5. User Consent & Disclosure

Fleet owners are responsible for:

• Obtaining lawful consent from drivers and staff
• Providing clear notice of tracking (e.g., during employment onboarding)
• Complying with local labor, privacy, and data protection laws

In-app prompts and permission requests appear when location access is required. Users can review permissions at any time in device settings.

6. Data Retention

Location and telematics data are retained only as long as necessary for operational and legal purposes, as defined by the fleet owner’s subscription settings and applicable laws.
